Thank god for Rhino. They have a way of finding great music and getting it back out there in the marketplace. As a long time fan of the Replacements, indie-hardcore superstars of the early 80s, I was thrilled to see reissues of these recordings. They are putting out All Shook Down, Pleased to Meet Me, Hootenany, Sorry Ma! Forgot to take out the Trash, Don't Tell A Soul, Let it Be, Tim, and a Best of collection.
If you are a youngster, not a geriatric punk like myself, you owe it to yourself to hear what the buzz was all about. Grinding guitars, clever songwriting, and Paul Westerberg's down-to-earth and sincere vocals. My personal favorite has always been "Let it Be". Definitely worth the money!
