Check out The Urges. New CD: Psych Ward

Irish group The Urges, from Dublin IE (not to be confused with St. Louis band The Urge, also a very good band) are certainly not blazing any new territory musically, but that is not really their intention. An affinity for 1960s garage/psychedelic music abounds. I always loved the Hoodoogurus and I hear a musical kinship with the 80s retro-psycho-garage band. With a sound that is both retro and timeless, these guys show a respect for their musical influences and an attention to detail that is noteworthy. Psychedelia, surf, garage and hotrod overtones define The Urges.I hear traces of the British Invasion in there as well. These guys are not looking to blaze new territory, but to celibrate the old territory. Definitely worth a listen.

Become the Media

Don't listen to the one-sided corporate-owned media. They are not in the business of finding the truth. They are only concerned about making money for themselves and their stock holders. If they do report the truth, it is only because it suits their business plan. A happy accident...
Become the media! Blog it, film it, record it...
You still have credibility... They don't.
