Al Franken the Maverick and Other Election Season Funnies

"I will vote no for certain things, even if 85 senators vote for it. ... I guess, maybe I'm just, I don't know, a maverick," Franken said,
  • John McCain; "I'm Not President Bush". Odd, but McCain voted with Bush 95 percent of the time. (Mitchell Bard- Huffington Post).
  • We seem not to mind socialist for the rich -- or for Congress. (Erica Jong)
  • Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., ranks no. 19 of the 100 United States senators in terms of personal wealth, according to a new analysis of personal-finance disclosure reports by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. The Center estimated McConnell's 2007 net worth at about $7.8 million. Much of McConnell's fortune comes from his marriage to Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, who has spent time in the worlds of banking and corporate boards, and whose father is a wealthy shipping magnate in New York. He still attacks Bruce Lundsford as a fat cat. At least Bruce did some honest work to get his money.
  • This is the first race since Watergate that the Republicans have been so desperate that they've had to use plumbers... (Charlie Cray- Huffington Post)

Become the Media

Don't listen to the one-sided corporate-owned media. They are not in the business of finding the truth. They are only concerned about making money for themselves and their stock holders. If they do report the truth, it is only because it suits their business plan. A happy accident...
Become the media! Blog it, film it, record it...
You still have credibility... They don't.
